“We previously reviewed Graham Beck Brut sparkling wine, and today we are sampling their Brut Rosé. Both are made in the Méthode Cap Classique, which is the South African terminology for the traditional Champagne method of having secondary fermentation occur in the bottle. Both also use the same grapes, but in different proportion. For the Rosé we have a composition of 59% Pinot Noir and 41% Chardonnay.

The wine pours pale pink in the glass with generous, tiny bubbles. The nose is restrained, offering gentle notes of creamy orange, and strawberry. It actually reminds me of an Orange Julius — in a good way. The palate is lovely with more assertive flavors of strawberry and cream. The small bubbles and medium acidity provide excellent mouthfeel and a flavor that lingers across a long finish. Altogether, this is an impressive wine. For the price, I can’t think of a sparkling rosé that can compare with the quality provided.”
